There are a lot of fun and creative ways to decorate for the joyous season and one of them is dressing up plain ornaments.

Follow these decorating hacks we have collected to make unique, easy, personalized, and embellished holiday ornaments that you can keep on reusing year after year!

Cookie Cutter Ornament

DIY these definitely unique-looking ornaments using old cookie cutters you havenโ€™t used in a while!ย  You can easily repurpose these kitchen items.

Simply trace out the cookie cutters into shiny or glittered patterned paper and cut them out. On the edges of the cookie-cutter, put some glue and place your pattered paper lining perfectly on all the edges. At the back of the ornament, secure a loop for safe hanging.

Washi tape ornaments are super easy to craft and are affordable, too!

The only supplies you will need are washi tapes, a pair of scissors or craft knife, a string cord, and cardboard. Simply trace and cut your desired shapes on cardboard. Gather all your holiday-themed washi tapes, stick and smooth them out on the shapes.

If you prefer to do it on the other side of the shapes as well, feel free to do so. Using a craft knife, trim the edges. Secure a ribbon loop for easy hanging.

Do you have plenty of loose buttons? Creating button wreath ornaments is another fun project to do and is not so complicated, too!

Simply cut 9-inch 16-gauge copper wires and make a small loop at the end of it. Thread as many buttons into the wire until you have enough for the wreath size you desire.

Bend the wire around the looped end to form your wreath and style it with a satin ribbon and bow for a more festive look.

Crafting holiday ornaments can also be a great time to declutter your home. If you have tons of CDs untouched at home, repurpose them by making a sparkly mosaic ornament!

Simply break and cut old CDs to make it look like mosaic tiles and stick them on old ball ornaments using hot glue. These goodies will instantly add a touch of shine to your already bright home!
