Gift at a Glance

A round disc of dark natural slate, laser engraved with "Our First Christmas" in flowing script above a row of five pine trees of different heights. One first name is engraved under each tree, and the year you choose sits below the engraved line "As a Family of 5."

Why You'll Love It

Five is the headcount where the car seats stop fitting in a row and somebody always ends up on the floor at Christmas morning. This personalized family Christmas ornament records the first holiday at that number, with a tree and a name for every person in the house.

Because the names are laser engraved into the slate rather than printed on it, they hold up season after season without fading or peeling. Natural stone also means the surface pattern and the edge are slightly different on every ornament that leaves the shop.

MyOrnament personalizes and ships this ornament within 24 hours, so a late addition to the family still makes it onto the tree the same year.

Helpful Details

The five names sit left to right under the trees in the order you type them, which lets you group the kids, split the parents, or line everyone up by age. Engraved lettering reads pale silver against the dark stone and stays readable across a room. The jute cord is already threaded through the hole at the top of the slate.

Perfect Gift For

• First Christmas as a family of five
• Parents welcoming a third child
• Newly adoptive and foster families
• Blended families merging two households
• Grandparents shopping for a growing family
• Godparents and close family friends
• Families who collect a new ornament yearly
• Baby shower and new arrival gifts
• Housewarming for a family that just outgrew the old place

Materials & Personalization

Made from natural slate, 3 inches tall by 3 inches wide, with the color and texture variation that comes with real stone. The design is laser engraved, so the lettering is cut into the surface and will not rub off. The engraved design text reads "Our First Christmas" across the top and "As a Family of 5" near the bottom, and neither line is editable. You supply five first names, one under each pine tree, plus the year. A jute cord is included for hanging, and the ornament is personalized and ships within 24 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is personalized on this family of five ornament?
You enter five first names, one engraved under each pine tree, plus the year engraved at the bottom. The lines "Our First Christmas" and "As a Family of 5" are engraved design text and cannot be edited.

Is the engraving permanent?
Yes. This custom family Christmas ornament is laser engraved, which cuts the five names and the year into the slate so they will not fade or rub off.

What material is it?
Natural slate, 3 inches tall by 3 inches wide. Each piece carries its own texture and edge, so no two are the same.

How is it hung?
A jute cord comes threaded through a hole at the top, so this personalized family Christmas ornament hangs on a branch or a hook right out of the package.

How fast will it ship?
MyOrnament personalizes and ships this ornament within 24 hours of your order.

Can I use nicknames or parent titles in the name fields?
Yes. Each of the five name fields takes whatever you type, so a nickname or a family title works as well as a given name.
